Egg Hunt and Visit with the Easter Bunny and Photos
When: Saturday, April 4 from 1:00-3:00 p.m.
Where: (The Riverton Fair Grounds) Riverton, CT
The Easter Bunny will visiting the Shops in Riverton first (2 School Street, Riverton, CT) so be sure to go over and say hi before heading over the Riverton Fair Grounds. The egg hunt will begin at approximately 1:30 p.m. (Please don’t be late!!) We have prize categories for all ages and again this year, we will have an egg hunt for adults. (Some eggs will have coupons and prizes from local Riverton and Barkhamsted vendors!!) What to Bring: Please be sure to bring an Easter Basket or bag for you and your child to join in on the Easter Egg Hunt, a smile! The children will be divided into two separate age groups for a toy and candy filled Easter Egg Hunt sponsored by the Recreation Commission. Then parents and caregivers will have their chance to go on their own egg hunt too!! The Event will be held rain, snow or shine!!! Riverton Fishing Campout & Derby
Kick off spring with a relaxing night outdoors at the Riverton Fishing Campout and Derby! Join us Friday and Saturday, April 10–11 at the Riverton Fairgrounds (16 Riverton Rd, Riverton, CT) for a fun community fishing event under the stars.
Gates open Friday at 4:00 PM, and the fish will be delivered to the pond at approximately 5:00 PM, making it the perfect time to cast a line and enjoy the evening. Families are welcome to stay overnight with dry camping available for $20 per family spot, or come for the day with parking for $5 per vehicle.
Bring your tent, camper, or SUV and enjoy a laid-back night of fishing, tailgating, and camping with friends and neighbors.

Movie Night
Join the Barkhamsted Recreation Department for an unforgettable evening under the stars at the Riverton Fairgrounds! Gather your family and friends for a special outdoor screening of Project Hail Mary on Saturday, July 11.
Gates open at 6:30 p.m., giving guests plenty of time to settle in, enjoy the atmosphere, and grab pizza and snacks before the movie begins at dusk. Bring your lawn chairs, blankets, and favorite movie-going companions as we transform the fairgrounds into a giant outdoor theater.
This family-friendly event is part of Barkhamsted’s celebration of America’s 250th Anniversary, offering a fun and unique way to enjoy a summer evening in the community. A suggested donation is appreciated to help support recreation programs and future events.
