GUIDELINES FOR EXHIBITORS
- All entries must be received by October 5. No entries will be accepted after that deadline.
- Entry forms must be complete with Division, Department, Variety and Exhibit Description.
- Admission fee of $8.00 must accompany Entry Form (no admission fee required for juniors 12 and under, or for Fair Lifetime Members).
- Items which have not been pre-entered and issued an entry tag will not be accepted for judging. No substitutions permitted. Absolutely no new entries can be accepted on Fair Days.
- Entries may be delivered to the fairgrounds between the hours of 3 pm and 7 pm on thursday, or friday between 9 am and 4 pm. All entries must be in place by 4 pm Friday except flowers, bread/pastry, and cakes/pies.
- All entries must remain in place until 5 pm Sunday.
- For each item entered, specify, Division, Department, Variety, and Description.
- All pertinent information must be included to ensure that the item is correctly coded for judging.
- Riverton Fair is not responsible for items incorrectly classified by exhibitor.
- No changes in classification will be made on Fair Days.
- Please print legibly. Make sure to include your phone number and/or email in case of questions for clarification.
THEME: FAIR FLAGS
RULES
The theme of the Flag is “The Fair”. Flag not to be larger than 2’x3’ with scene on one side only. It may be painted, appliqued, sewn, glued or quilted. It is to resemble seasonal decorative flags that are displayed on homes. The Fair scene can be general or a favorite scene from your fair. Please include an index card with the title of your flag and the Fair from which you chose as a theme.
LOCAL CONTEST
Exhibits may be entered at any fair which is a member of the Litchfield County Council of Fairs. Contestants may enter their exhibit as often as they wish UNTIL they win first prize. At that time they will be representing that fair at the Litchfield County Council of Fairs Contest in the Fall. If it is found that the contestant has entered and won in more than one Litchfield County Fair, they will be disqualified from participating in the Litchfield County Council of Fairs Contest in the Fall of 2023.
COUNTY CONTEST
Representative winners from each fair for both junior and senior divisions will be eligible to enter their exhibit in the County Contest held at the Fall meeting of the Litchfield County Council of Fairs on Wednesday, October 25, 2023. Entries must be in place by 6:30 PM to be judged.
